Olympic Stadium – Montreal, Quebec, Canada
Building: Olympic Stadium
Location: 4141 avenue Pierre-De Coubertin, Montreal, QC H1V 3N7, Canada
Completion: 1977
Architect: Roger Taillibert
AE Interests: This very elaborate structure, features a retractable roof which utilizes a 574 foot tower, the tallest inclined structure in the world. Often referred to as a Organic Modern architecture, the design was based on plant and animal forms, while including vertebral structures with tentacles.

Unfortunately the elaborate roof structure never functioned as it was supposed to. The rising structure was to pull the roof up like an umbrella, but never correctly worked. The roof now is fix.
Furthermore, the whole construction of the stadium was marred in cost overruns and poor construction. There has been much debate over the fate of the stadium which requires constant maintenance.
