AE Interest: The hilly landscape offers a challenge for the foundation systems of the building.  Also, large open windows and an open courtyard area need to be considered carefully when designing the structural framework.

AE Interest: Hilly terrain requires a complex building foundation system. There are two distinct landscapes: snow in winter and green hills in the summer. This poses several design issues, such as having an efficient, sustainable building that responds to the change in climate.
