Interests: To reduce solar impact on the building, the design included central voids for indirect sunlight, reflective glass filtering light through highly controlled openings on walls, concrete lattice with vegetation shading corridors and classrooms, and a roof garden that provides thermal insulation and humidity during the hottest months.

Interests: The design consists of nine translucent wings arranged like leaves that filter sunlight through out the day. Each of the nine leaves provides its own entrance to symbolically welcome people from all directions. This temple is built over elastomeric isolators to withstand Chile’s seismic activity.

Interests: Thermal considerations such as double walls, ventilated façade, roof garden, heightened spaces, and a “free cooling” A/C system which acts by stopping mechanical cooling and injecting exterior air when interior temperature is higher, were taken into account.
