AE Interest: An adult male elephant weighs 5.5 tons and can exert a 15 ton horizontal load on a wall. The interior walls are The glazed roof canopies are randomly patterned with leaves from four species of tree to create naturalistic dappled light.

AE Interest: Curtain walls fabricated from custom thermal glass only made in Spain for maximum thermal insulation. Building will hold over 25,000 tons of water total, one of the largest aquariums in the world. Aquarium glass in the largest tank (7,000 tons) is up to 2 feet thick (0.6m).

AE Interest: Each reflection pool recirculates 52,000 gallons of water per minute. The stone and metal parapets that line each pool and bear victim names have built in heating and cooling systems specifically designed to allow visitors to comfortably touch the names year round.

AE Interest: Each structural steel member is a continuous loop along the cross-section, tied at the base and secured at the top by a service bridge that acts as a counter-balance to wind forces. Fixed to this structure, is the overlapping facade which doubles as the frame for the glazing and the housing for the MEP.

AE Interest: At 1,023 ft in diameter, Singapore National Stadium exceeds the span of Texas Cowboys Stadium (902 ft) as the largest dome structure in the world. Phoenix Solar installed over 75,000 sq. ft of solar arrays, resulting in 60% less total energy consumption than traditional stadiums. Also, the only venue in the world custom-built for soccer, rugby, and cricket.  Also: world’s largest retractable roof at 680,000sf – can be opened / closed in 12 minutes.
