AE Interests: Largest single span glass house that mirrors the hilly landscape. Supporting structure is made up of tubular steel and aluminum glazing that minimize materials used and maximizes light transmission. The temperature conditions on the inside and out of the glass hill are constantly monitored by a computer system that automatically adjusts each glass flap for optimum energy consumption. The building also uses collects rainwater for various uses and uses a biomass boiler that burns timber trimmings as its primary heat source which creates a highly sustainable building.
