AE Interests: Inspired by the canyons of Arizona, full length windows draw in light from the interior courtyard and views of the surrounding mountains, designed for maximum energy efficiency, made from 42.8% recycled material, the building utilizes low VOC paints, and an underfloor HVAC system circulates air, lowering the temperature of the outdoor courtyard and making it bearable even in the Arizona sun

AE Interests: private residence as well as an art museum, the structure is part of an assemblage of buildings and outdoor sculptures, the 22,000-square-foot museum is a multiple volume, single-level structure clad in zinc panels and French limestone. A large, naturally lit sculpture gallery is the organizing element for a sequence of 18-feet-high gallery spaces with state-of-the-art museum environmental controls, and an administrative office suite.
