AE Interests: the facade is made entirely of purple slate imported from Canada usually only used for prestigious buildings, a journey into the building from the “adult rooms” at the entrance into the children’s dance and reading rooms deeper into the new building, the woodwork makes the rooms feel voluminous and large (cathedral-like), open sky windows to give natural light to the dance and reading rooms, pumice looking ceilings make the dancing room feel very “light”- (just as dancers should be light on their feet), angular form

AE Interests: based on the theme of music and contemporary art, the Metaphone was created with the help of sound designer Louis Drandel, Drandel designed the walls of the Metaphone to generate and diffuse sound, music can be played live in front of an audience or from behind closed doors, first interactive music hall in the world
