Status: Conceptual (competition entry)

AE Interest: Individual sunshade panels that open and close relative to the sun’s intensity, designed to mimic the appearance of a cactus in the desert, connecting botanical dome houses plants that could be used as a source of food or a way to clean wastewater [1]

AE Interests: Callebaut has designed this coral reef inspired building to be a role model for green sustainable architecture in Cairo. A solar roof paneling and facades in the form of fish gills provides shadow in optimal areas in order to decrease mechanical ventilation. LEED gold plus certification.
