Location: Dubai, United Arab Emirates (U.A.E.)
Architect: Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (S.O.M.)
Stuctural Engineer: SOM (Bill Baker and Ahmad Abdelrazaq)
Built by: Turner, Samsung, Besix, Arabtec, Grocon, Bauer AG, Middle East Foundations, Otis, Lerch Bates, Schmidlin, Al Naboodah, Laing O’Rourke
Completed 2009

AE Interests: skyscraper, currently (2013) the world’s tallest building at 2,717 feet (818 meters). Conceptually designed as a giant cantilever. Concrete core, 3 primary concrete flanges, with stepping masses around the core (spiraling toward the top).  `
