Simpson-Lee House Simpson-Lee House Side View

Building:  Simpson-Lee House
Location:  Mount Wilson, Australia
Completed: 1994
Architect:  Glenn Murcutt

AE Interests: Murcutt’s careful design and choice of materials for this house is greatly influenced by his desire to allow light to permeate the house just as the light permeates the foliage that surrounds it. The roof serves not only as a shelter but also is designed to collect water which is then used as drinking water as well as toilet water.
