Awards: 2005 Honor Award for Outstanding Architecture, 2005 Outstanding Library Building Award, and 2005 Platinum Award for Innovation and Engineering

AE Interests: natural lighting, five platforms and four planes placed in-between these make up the shape of the building, the “Books Spiral” is a giant spiralling bookcase containing all the libraries collection of literature. `

Joshua Prince-Ramus was partner-in-charge for OMA New York (firm has been renamed REX) for the Seattle Central Library.
