Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands
Completion Date: 2001
Architect: Grimshaw Architects
Structural Engineer: Ingenieurs Bureau Amsterdam & WS Atkins
Main Contractor: Project Bureau Ijburg- Amsterdam

AE Interests: Required the development of seven artificial islands. Designed to symbolize the unity of old and new land. Multifunctional: accommodates vehicles, tramlines, cyclists, pedestrians, drainage and other services.
