Architect: Renzo Piano Building Workshop
Structural Engineer: Arup  with Datum Engineers
Landscape: Peter Walker and Partners
Construction: Beck
Completed October 2003

AE Interests: “Museum without a  roof” – cast-aluminum shading panels, glass roof with tension-cable support at center-span, double-wall system for HVAC and rainwater, sculpture garden, barrel-vaulted ceiling.  Exhibits originally included a sky-viewing space by James Turrell, which was eventually compromised by the construction of a high-rise nearby. `
