AE Interest: The EGWW Federal building was originally built in 1974 by SOM. Due to the building no longer being able to meet the functional, energy, or conservation requirements, the building was renovated in 2013. [a] After the renovation, this building achieved LEED Platinum certification due to it’s efficient, sustainable, and innovative technologies. [b] These technologies include solar thermal panels, 13,000 sf solar roof panel, and a rainwater collection system. [c]
