Construction: 1957 – 1968

AE Interest:
Structure suspended by four piers supporting two huge pre-cast concrete beams spanning 243 feet (74 metres); no interior columns interrupt interior space (floor height: 26 feet). Lower level beam is hollow. Bending moment of beams is 20,000 lbs

Bo Bardi innovated close collaboration with construction teams and emphasized artisanal value in construction.
