Building: Turin Exhibition Hall
Location: Turin, Italy
Architect and Engineer: Pier Luigi Nervi
Construction: 1947-1949

AE Interest: barrel shell and reinforced concrete structure, average thickness of concrete is less than 8 cm, prefab ferrocement made construction quicker, dome features rhomboidal precast concrete pieces, still used today, converted to ice hockey rink for 2006 Winter Olympics.
