AE Interest:
The foundation was designed with 20-meter-piles with a base of 2.5 meters or reinforced concrete to transfer the loads. A scale model was tested in a wind tunnel and subjected to a wind force of 240 km/h. In total the top of the buildings moves 45cm. The pipe system is “cut” every 11 floors to slow down the disposed water flowing down. It has two straight towers which are separated by 20 meters. 180 meters above ground level. The towers are connected at both the first three floors (basements) and the top eight (floors 38 to 45) by an inverse cone 20 meters high and has a diameter of 40 meters. The cone helps distribute the load of the upper levels of both towers. The cone is like the angular rock in arches.
